PANP Highlighting Ruth Leo, MSN, CRNP during the “Year of the Nurse 2020!”

Ruth Leo MSN CRNP  

Ruth Leo is an NP in practice for more than 22 years. Her background spans Clinical Education, Orthopedics, Cardiology and Internal Medicine. Her current practice is Cardiology specifically; Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiology and private cardiology practice performing consultations in the acute care setting.

Ruth is a staunch advocate for our profession and she leads by example. She regularly contacts legislative representatives and attends PCNP Lobby Day in Harrisburg to advance our efforts. Ruth was an integral part of the grassroots efforts of the Pennsylvania NP’s who actively fought for prescriptive privileges. Thank you, Ruth!

Ruth is our newly elected PANP Chairperson. Over the years, she has held several officer positions giving her an in-depth understanding of the roles and aspects of our organization. She is also the current Co-Director of the Membership Committee for our State Coalition, PCNP. Ruth plans to work on engaging membership to achieve our mission and goals; promote regional growth and to continue advocacy efforts for full-practice authority and other important issues that impact NP practice.
